Man Cleans Up The Beach for Free

When the weather gets hot--the people flock for the beaches of the Missouri River.
While they may have a good time some are leaving their garbage behind.

Bismarck Parks and Recreation cleans up on weekdays but only takes out garbage on weekends.
Since this time of year has the most river activity-- one local resident takes time out of his day to clean up after everyone else.

Jim Kuznia "I normally bike around here and I've noticed the last few days it's been pretty tough I know that a lot of activity with the nice weather and I know that afterwards it gets to be a lot of littler so I try to do my part."

Jim Kuznia has found anything from a pair of glasses to unopened beer cans that could end up in the hands of minors.
Parks and Rec offers trash bags and many garbage bins in hopes that people will pick up after themselves.
It took Kuznia about an hour to clean up the area by himself.
