Soaring Over The Souris Successful

Posted: Updated:

Wednesday night's Soaring Over the Souris Air Show proved to be a huge success.
People from the Minot and surrounding communities attended the air show that featured the Canadian Snowbirds, Kent Pietsch and the Jelly Belly Comedy act and the Texas Flying Legends.
The event was hosted by the Minot Convention Visitors Bureau and donations were taken during the event with proceeds going towards the Minot Area Community Foundation.
Most of the funds raised for the event were raised through sponsorships prior to the event but  Minot CVB Director Wendy Howe believes over twenty-five-hundred dollars was raised at the event alone.
(Wendy Howe, Minot CVB Director) "On every single level I think we can say absolute success. We had tons of people from the community, from the surrounding area telling us how much they enjoyed it. The vendors saying how successful their part was. The Snowbirds and the talent telling us they've never seen such a great air show planned in such a short period of time and how much they loved being here."
Howe says the Minot Community can expect another air show sometime in the future but is not sure on a definite date.
