Roosevelt Park Voting Contest

Posted: Updated:

Finding funding to rebuild has been a battle for everyone in the valley.
For the Minot Park District it's been especially hard considering many expenses weren't reimbursable by FEMA.
Now, though Roosevelt Park is in the running and could possibly follow in Oak Parks footsteps from last year by placing in the "America's Favorite Park" contest sponsored by Coca Cola.
There are ten days left to vote in "America's Favorite Park" contest.
Right now Roosevelt Park is in 6th place.
Minot Park Director, Ron Merritt, says Roosevelt Park's popularity makes it a top priority for rebuilding.
(Ron Merritt, Minot Park Director)"Everything from the family picnics, to the playgrounds, to the trail systems, the pool as well.  All of it gets used a lot.  We need to get it put back together."
If you'd like to help you can go to our facebook page facebook.com/kxnews.com where you will find a link to "America's Favorite Park."
