Fort Lincoln Gives You A Chance for a Birds eye View

Posted: Updated:

Fort Lincoln has a new activity that allows people to see the patriotic city and state park from a new view.
Jon Schaeffer Lifts off to show you a first for the park as well as a first  for two men.
As the propeller speeds up-- Nat-- the engine gets loud and all of a sudden you're off the ground. That is what is now offered on some weekends this summer at the historic state park. "we're just trying to do some fun and exciting things for everybody" " This is our first weekend, we're going to be here next weekend than a couple of weekends in August and so we'd love for people to come out and take a look at the park from the air it's certainly a different perspective"  for only 50 dollars you can get a ten minute tour of the scenic area from Custer's house to the block houses you will get a birds-eye view of the whole park. "it starts out here at the fort Abraham Lincoln and he takes it up of the top of the block houses into town and than it comes back down south along the river." For some people the chance to get their first helicopter ride was more than enough to get them in the seats of this bright yellow chopper and the view was just an added bonus. "Its a lot like going up in jet but with a lot more air" Well I really enjoyed the take-off and seeing my house from up above that was pretty neat and john enjoyed the headset he liked talking into it." John is in his late 40's and enjoys military aircraft so this was kind of close to that Jay said. but he definitely had a good time as he had a smile on his face before he even was in the aircraft."John did you have a good time? shakes his head in approval" At the end of the day whether its the joy of your first time in chopper or the gorgeous view of Fort Lincoln you'll be sure to leave with a smile.
