Minot's local Automotive center will be presenting the Highlander SUV to the Red Cross in the event that they win.
(Jon McLemore, Multimedia Manager, Minot Automotive Center) "It is Minot Red Cross. People where flocking to the Red Cross. They were being serviced by the Red Cross. So I think people are actually going to be able to look at that and say 'hey, you know they helped me and now it's my turn to help them'."
Another voting frenzy taking place is the "America's Favorite Park" online contest.
Supporters are rallying together tomorrow at Roosevelt Park for a voting blitz in the "America's Favorite Park" online contest.
The rally will run from 2 PM to 4 PM next to the new Zoo's Visitor Center.
People are encouraged to bring their laptops and smart phones along with lawn chairs.
Wifi will be available.
Roosevelt Park is currently in 6th place and needs to break into the top three to be guaranteed $25,000.
But you can vote from home anytime as often as you like by logging onto facebook.
You search Roosevelt Park Coca Cola Voting, click the online voting link and vote.
(Ron Merritt, Director, Minot Park District) "They get more votes if you are actually physically in the park and can do your voting from the park. If people can come down and get on their phones and vote while they are here the votes multiply really quickly."
Voting for Roosevelt Park ends July 15th --- meet at Roosevelt Park tomorrow from 2 to 4 for an extra "pep rally," if you will.
And again - Toyota's 100 Cars For Good contest only runs for one day - from 9 am to 11 PM tomorrow - which could win the Mid-Dakota Chapter of the American Red Cross a new vehicle.
