Drivers can soon expect delays on State Street in Bismarck.
Starting Tuesday, traffic control signs and cones will start going up.
The construction project will be taking place from the south ramp of Interstate 94 on State street and continue north up to Calgary Avenue.
Crews will be working on concrete repairs including fixing broken pieces of pavement, joint sealing and new pavement markings.
"With the busy amount of traffic here and the volume of traffic they'll be working in lane closures, there'll be one lane closure in each direction of travel, north and south, and they'll be trying to keep the work confined to the lane closure and they'll be moving around cause it's the whole roadway that gets repaired," Project Engineer Doug Fercho said.
The project is expected to complete by the beginning of September.
