Posted: Updated:

A Newburg man has been charged with two counts of manslaughter and several other crimes in connection with a fatal accident at a Bottineau County campground early Sunday morning.

Bottineau County State's Attorney Swain Benson says 30-year-old Juan Acosta has been officially charged with two counts of manslaughter, two counts of reckless endangerment, plus unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and drunk driving.
Acosta was behind the wheel of a pickup that was speeding through the Hahns Bay Campground about 1:10 Sunday morning when he lost control and smashed into a camp site.
Two young boys from Texas - nine year old Cyris Ruiz and his five year old brother Alaries - were killed when the truck ran over their tent.

The boys' 28-year old father Juan Ruiz suffered serious injuries and another nine year old boy in the tent at the time had minor injuries.
The suspect - Juan Acosta - is expected to make his initial court appearance tomorrow.
