Hope Village Open House

Posted: Updated:

The 'Summer of Hope' in the Magic City is really heating up...both temperature-wise and the level at which volunteers with Hope Village are working to rebuild homes in Minot.

Tomorrow, everyone is invited to their temporary home -- Hope Village -- at Our Savior Lutheran Church in south Minot to see what exactly they are accomplishing.
An open house is planned from five until seven so everyone can appreciate the massive operation underway in the Mouse River valley to try and get people back on their feet.

(Linley Wartenberg - Hope Village) "We want people to see what is going on here at Hope Village.  They had the opportunity to come before we were open but now we are in full swing and the open house is Wednesday from five until seven.  The volunteers will be coming back in so you can see them hot and sweaty as they come in after they have worked to rebuild the homes.  We are still doing gutting and debris clean-up."

Linley says you'll have an opportunity to take part in a silent auction as well -- for a tasty prize.
Country super-group Zac Brown Band has offered up two tickets to their State Fair concert as well as two tickets to what is called an 'Eat and Greet' before the show.
