Tea Party Event Scheduled

Posted: Updated:

As the political season continues to forge on, citizens may be looking for a chance to voice their opinions.

That chance will come on Thursday when a Tea Party Rally will take place at Oak Park.
Tea Party members extended invitations to all of North Dakota's political candidates.
Voters will have the chance to ask the candidates in attendance about national issues.
The Tea Party held a similar rally in the Magic City prior to this upcoming rally and over 600 people attended the event.
Rally coordinator, Rob Port, says this is an opportunity for voters to get answers.

(Rob Port, Rally Coordinator)"We just thought it was important.  We'll get some of the candidates here, let the people mingle with them, ask them questions, and then also, express some other their views.  It's a very populous movement."

The rally kicks off Thursday at 6:30 in the picnic shelter at Oak Park.
