Badlands Activity Center Changing Its Name

Posted: Updated:

This morning the State Board of Higher Education approved a proposal to rename the Badlands Activity Center at Dickinson State University to the Henry Biesiot (Bee-zhoo) Activity Center.

Henry-- also known as Hank Biesiot (Bee-zhoo) has been the head football coach at Dickinson State since 1976.
He has had winning seasons thirty-two of the three-five he has coached and is just 2 wins away from being the coach with the most wins in N-A-I-A History.
Not only is this recognition for what he has done on the sidelines--but also for what he does away from the field.

(D.C. Coston/President of Dickinson State University) "This is an exciting development coach Biesiot and his wife are civic leaders in Dickinson. They have played a huge role in the community and at the University far beyond the football program and it really is heartening to be able to recognize him along with Sue for being such wonderful people and so important to this community and this university and the literally thousands of students they have worked with over the years."

The renaming will take place in October.
