Dickinson's rapid growth has many resident's wanting more opportunity to shop. Their wants will soon be met. Jon Schaeffer takes you around town this week in Dickinson and downtown Bismarck.
Dickinson officials are excited about the new development going up in west Dickinson. The West Ridge center is on a 500 acre plot of land that will include a Cashwise foods and liquor-petco-a Menards and much more. 4 new hotels will be built on the property that is just to the northwest of Exit 59 off Interstate 94. The Hilton Garden Inn Hotel and Home2 suites by Hilton are just a couple of them coming in. One city official says he is very excited for the new development and that people have been requesting a large retail area to shop. Back in downtown Bismarck--a new boutique and design shop has opened up. Only a week into operations-- owner of Soul Interiors--Leslie Eckert says she already has a few bare shelves. The store has clothing--furniture--and small items for around the home. It is located just north of peacock alley on 5th St. The stylish store will keep customers coming back whether its for your living room or a man cave she'll have it for you. (Leslie Eckert/Owner of Soul Interiors) "We just kind of have an eclectic look a little bit of everything industrial rustic modern. I think it's one of a kind in the area.
