Click It or Ticket Campaign

For many, summer means vacations and road trips and with that the North Dakota Department of Transportation is gearing up for a statewide Click It or Ticket Campaign.

To help bring awareness to seatbelt use, the Click It or Ticket campaign started this past Friday and run through July 21st.
During this time, law enforcement across the state are conducting increased seatbelt enforcement.
The campaign is an annual enforcement event across the state that is funded by the NDDOT.
Last year in North Dakota alone, 66 percent of traffic fatalities were not wearing a seatbelt.

(Officer Aaron Moss, Minot Police Department) "To encourage people to buckle up and buckle their children up. It is just a proven statistical fact that crashes are much more survivable if the occupants are belted."

According to the seatbelt law in North Dakota, all occupants younger than 18 much be properly restrained regardless of their location in the vehicle.
