About 500 customers were affected by a power outage last night in Bismarck.
MDU spokesman Mark Hanson says it happened about 10:15.
Bismarck Police worked to keep traffic flowing in darkened neighborhoods.
The affected area ran from Main to Boulevard north to south, and 5th to 10th streets east and west.
Crews worked to repair a blown fuse. Power back up and running by 12:40am.
MDU Spokesman Mark Hanson says, "The day of a 70's high 70's versus what we've been having lately in the mid 90's, the amount of demand we've had on our system across from Easter Montana and into North Dakota where we serve it's about 45% where you get those days when it's really hot and humid."
Hanson says if you compare a typical day in the 70's to our current weather in the 90's, usage goes up about 45 percent.
