Around Town 7-20-12

Posted: Updated:

The growth around Bismarck has spurred more hotels being built in the area.
Jon Schaeffer takes you around town to show you one that will be opening by the end of the summer plus a couple of other new businesses in town.
Needing a place to stay for an extended period? look no further. There is a new staybridge suites just off of Century Avenue in the final stages of building. The extended stay hotel will have a kitchen in each of it's 98 suites, a pool, full hot breakfast and a courtyard. Project Supervisor John Stearns says that it is roughly 95 percent done. It has a tentative open date of August 30th.
Now let's head to the southern side of Bismarck along the expressway across from Sam's club and walmart is a new City Nails and Spa. It has been open since July 5th. They do have a branch in Jamestown and specialize in nails, eyelash extensions, and permanent makeup.
Just 2 doors down in the same strip mall is a new Discount Smoke Shop. It is the first one in North Dakota. They offer all sorts of tobacco from pipes to chew to cigarettes and cigars you'll find your tobacco needs. The company is based out of St. Louis, Missouri and opened this past Tuesday. The Smoke shop also offers a punch card system to save you a little money over time. (David Day) "Pretty much you name it we've got it. If someone wants something special ordered we're happy to do that for them and we just try to take care of the customers try to offer a nice friendly environment for folks to do their shopping." Around Town I'm Jon Schaeffer, KXNEWS.
The smoke shop company has stores in Missouri Illinois and South Dakota as well.
