Hostfest Presence at Fair

Posted: Updated:

You may have noticed one tree at the fair looking a little out of place at times.

This tree making it's way through the Fair Grounds is the Walking Troll Tree--he is here to celebrate Scandinavian culture and the upcoming Norsk Hostfest.
This year marks the 35th annual Norsk Hostfest.
The festival kicks off at the fairgrounds on September 25th and runs through the 29th.
This year's entertainment lineup includes Vince Gill, Jeff Foxworthy, and Dierks Bentley.
Executive Director of the Norsk Hostfest, Pam Davy says many people offered their help in the winter months to ensure a successful event for this September.

(Pam Davy, Executive Director-Norsk Hostfest)"We're gearing up for a great celebration. Some volunteers have been working all winter long and it's going to be great.  We want everybody to come."

During the remaining days of the state fair you can stop by the KX Information building where you can buy one country concert ticket and get the second ticket for $35.  You can also enter for prize giveaways.
