Talk of ND on Capitol Hill

Posted:

North Dakota is popular word on Capitol Hill.

Senator John Hoeven says our strong economy and economic growth is turning heads of lawmakers in Washington D.C.
Hoeven says North Dakota gets an incredible amount of attention for doing things right.
He says our state's energy, agriculture, strong economy, balanced budget surplus and being one of the fastest growing states is drawing people north to the opportunities.

(Senator John Hoeven / ND (R)) "When I talk about North Dakota and I talk about our people. It's really positive. It used to be that people would say it's cold in North Dakota isn't it? Now they are saying, tell us what is going on in North Dakota with our economy, with energy, with agriculture with everything. Just a great reflection on our state and on our people."

Hoeven is a member of the Senate-House committee that developed a transportation bill to help states like North Dakota build infrastructure to keep up with large economic growth.
That passed both the House and Senate.
He's now pushing legislation to spur small business and private investment to help the nation's economy grow.
