Minot's flood-ravaged schools will be re-opened in time for the start of school one year from now.
Superintendent Mark Vollmer says that's still the plan - even with major renovation on Longfellow and a complete construction project for Ramstad is yet to come.

The latest bid on Longfellow was approved today by the school board and work is on schedule to get the building enclosed before winter.
And dirt work is now going on at the new Ramstad site in northwest Minot.
Vollmer says the goal remains the same - just one more year of temporary arrangements for students before all school buildings are back in full service.

Other flooded buildings - the Head Start Building and Adult Learning Center - will be repaired and ready for use by the start of this school year.
