The State Fair showed its appreciation to Military families by dedicating Tuesday to those who serve our nation.
During Military Appreciation Day at the fair--admission was offered at a reduced price for those serving in the military. During lunchtime, military families lined up for a luncheon that was free of charge. Military families also got a chance to take advantage of some rides yesterday. A two-hour block of time was put in place for free rides for anyone serving in the military and their families. Colonel Max Mitchell of the Minot Air Force Base says this day is a great opportunity for the Minot Community to spend some time with military families.
(Colonel Max Mitchell, Minot Air Force Base)"It's very important that our community comes together--both the Minot Air Force community and the Minot community and the surrounding communities. They get a chance to come together and see what goes on downtown, but also the community get's to experience what the people from the base actually do."
This is the Fair's 8th-annual Military Appreciation Day.
