Fire officials say around 350 acres are burning in the badlands right now.
Pat Rummel, the Billings County Emergency Manager says they responded to a fire around eight miles south of Medora around six o'clock Sunday evening.
It has not been contained as of late Sunday evening and crews will be working into Monday to put it out.
Rummel says several agencies have responded from Billings and Golden Valley County and South Heart as well as the North Dakota Forest Service and U.S. Forest Service.
There have been no injuries or evacuations, as the fire is in a very rugged area.
Rummel wants to remind the public that Billings County does have a burn ban right now.
