Posted:

The Highway Patrol has identified the victim of a rollover Sunday near Linton.

19-year-old Lara Strand died after she failed to negotiate a turn at the junction of Highways 83 and 13.

The patrol says Strand missed the turn, went into a ditch and down an embankment. The car landed on its roof in three feet of water.

Strand's 15-year-old brother was treated for injuries at the Linton Hospital and released. Neither were wearing seatbelts.
