The Bismarck School District could soon be building a new elementary school not in Bismarck, but in Lincoln.
Wednesday night hundreds gathered to ask questions about the proposed elementary school.
The town of Lincoln now has a population of roughly 3,000 and school board officials says there's enough kids to fill an elementary school.
"Tonight was just a social kind of a get together have the patrons meet the School Board members, meet the superintendent and visit with us and let us know what their feelings were," Bismarck School Board President Steve Marquardt said.
Many of those who attended are in favor of the new school being built.
If the bond issue is passed on September 18th, construction will begin immediately.
