If you've been having trouble turning onto Washington Street from Turnpike avenue or 43rd avenue in Bismarck, you're in luck; some new stop lights will soon be directing traffic at those intersections.
Lights at the corner of Washington and Turnpike should be operational by mid September.
Traffic Engineer Mark Berg says that they received a number of public complaints about traffic at this intersection, and after monitoring it, warrants indicated traffic lights should be installed.
Lights will also be put at this intersection of 43rd and Washington.
Berg says that an interim system will be installed at that location, because of a reconstruction project scheduled on Washington Street in 2015.
