Searching for Childcare

Posted: Updated:

Following the news of the YWCA closing its Early Learning Center, many parents in the Minot area are left searching for child care.

The loss of child care facilities in the Minot area places a financial dilemma in front of working parents.
One Minot mother fears if they do not have a child care facility to place their child in, one of them will not be able to work during the day.
Barb Leshovsky has a son enrolled in YWCA's program says the latest news of the center closing its Early Learning Center leaves the future unclear for her family.

(Barb Leshovsky, Mother)"We don't have that kind of money set aside to just take six months off.  So we really do need to rely on work, we need healthcare, we need health insurance so one of us staying home or working part time, I really don't think is an option."

The YWCA will continue to offer its childcare services until September 28th.
