Kennel Club Dog Show

Posted:

The VFW sports center just got louder, with barks that come from all over the US.

The Kennel Club all breed Dog Show is being held for the next 3 days.

Animals and their owners come here to show why they should win.

One of the Kennel Clubs very own Nancy Lane shows one of what she refers to as her kid-- 16 month old Boogie.

<<(Nancy Lane/Kennel Club)"You want to prove through someone else's eyes, I think she's beautiful but when a judge tells me she's beautiful and gives the points to her, then you go toward a championship and most breeders try to get a championship under their belt before they breed them.">>

Dog Owners say how their pets get excited to be a part of this event-- because they can spend quality time with their owners.

One of the Show Dog Owner's Leslie Blythe and 4 year old Brinkley come from Casper Wyoming.

Leslie says she loves coming back to Bismarck and meeting new people.

<<(Leslie Blythe/Show Dog Owner)"I just enjoy coming out with my dogs and I got two with me this weekend I enjoy being here with my dogs we spend time together in the evening without the hub bub of everything else, it's fun here to come and watch the dog show.">>

It's Brickley's 3rd time in a row back in Bismarcks Kennel Club Show.

Brickley's next stop is Nationals in a month in St. Louis.

The All Breed Dog Show will be held 9am to 2:30pm Saturday and 8 am - 1:30 pm Sunday.
