At about 8:45 Wednesday night, the Burleigh County Dive team arrived on scene.

Also the Morton County rural fire department is responding.

From Bismarck Police Department Press release:

On 8-8-12 at 7:47 pm Bismarck Police along with other emergency personnel responded to the east side of the Missouri River concerning a 911 call claiming that an individual had jumped off of the railroad bridge.  After confirming through witnesses that someone had indeed jumped, the Burleigh County Dive Team was called to the area.  Members of the Morton County Dive Team also responded.  At this time the individual has not been found and the search has been suspended due to nightfall.  The Dive Team will resume the search in the morning.

The public is asked to please stay away from this area if possible and boaters using the river should use caution when approaching the area where rescue operations are occurring.  If anyone either walking along the shore of the river or in a boat should come across anything that appears suspicious they should call 911 immediately.
