Dickinson Police Search for Wanted Man

Posted:

Residents in Dickinson get a scare today...as authorities search for a wanted man.

Just before one o'clock Mountain time, the Dickinson Police Department told residents to lock their doors immediately--because they are searching for a man who wanted for domestic assault.

48-year old Adolfo Lepe, Sr. is Hispanic.

He is described as 5-foot-6, with long black hair and a pony tail--and he's balding.

Police say he was wearing blue pants, a dark baseball cap and a white shirt.

Lepe fled when officers approached his vehicle this afternoon there had been a warrant out for his arrest.

A short chase ensued but was quickly called off when speeds exceeded safe pursuit limits.

A passenger in Lepe's truck was taken into custody.

Police found evidence of a weapon in the pick-up.

Authorities believe the threat of Lepe having a weapon is diminished.

If you have any information that can help authorities find Lepe, call them at 456-7759.
