The official water search for the man who jumped from the railroad bridge last Wednesday has been called off.
After sitting out yesterday because of the weather, search crews returned to the river this morning.
The Game and Fish Department brought back its side-scan sonar. They re-searched an area near the bridge where it appeared Gregory Fredericksen's body may have been as recently as Friday. Today there was no trace.
Divers were NOT sent into the Missouri River today after the sonar search turned up empty.
A plane also flew overhead to aid in the recovery effort.
A spokesman for the Burleigh County Sheriff's Department says it's now a waiting game. It usually takes between five to seven days for a body to float to the surface.
Divers will not be used again unless new information is revealed.
Anyone who notices anything unusual should call 9-1-1 immediately.
