Truck Driver Identified - Train Derailment

The North Dakota Highway Patrol has identified the driver of the gravel truck who was killed when the vehicle he was driving was hit by a train east of Tioga Monday.

The Patrol says 62 year old Marvin Bell of Parshall was killed when he failed to yield to an oncoming BNSF train heading east.
Bell's body was transported to the State Medical Examiner's office in Bismarck for an autopsy.
The collision caused a massive derailment of the intermodal train that shut down the main BNSF rail line.
Railroad officials hope to have the debris removed and the damaged rail repaired by the end of today.
No one on the train was injured in the accident, although the engines did themselves derail but did not tip over.
