The North part of Bismarck continues to grow around Wal-Mart.
Jon Schaeffer shows you how he takes you around town.
It's nothing new hearing hotels are flying up in Bismarck-- Wingate by Wynhdam hotels is under construction right next to wal mart on highway 83 on your way north of town. The national hotel chain will be putting 84 rooms in the 4 story building.
Consolidated Construction out of Wisconsin has been working for a week and a half on the project. They have the bottom supports laid down and will continue to work toward the expected open date in mid February. The hotel will also have a hot tub and swimming pool to accommodate its guests.
The new Mackenzie River Pizza pub and grill will be half a block east of the wingate location. With a six thousand square feet the restaurant will house a full menu--but their specialty is specialized pizza. It should be able to seat 200 plus people and Open December 1st. The restaurant chain is based out of Bozeman, Montana--but this location will be locally owned and operated.
Today- the North Burger King on state street has closed. They have signs up asking customers to visit their south or Mandan store if they'd like to eat at a BK.
You may have also seen another sign saying a new hotel is coming. Holiday inn is coming soon to the north side of Town.
