Downtown Fall Festival

Main Street in Minot was taken over today with a little something for the whole family.

The Downtown Fall Festival is about 20 years running, but in the last six years it has been shaped into a big event.
There were bouncing castles and a petting zoo for the kids.
Area businesses set up booths for shopping, crafts and food.
And the entertainment intersection took center stage with dancers, and local talent.
The Downtown Business and Professional Association hosts the event every year to draw attention to main street business.
While there's no official gate counting the visitors, a greater number of tickets for the kid events were sold this year.

(Christine Morsfield, Vice President of the Downtown Association) "Our numbers might be down a little bit but it's still a great crowd. The entertainment is wonderful, we have a karaoke contest coming up shortly. Everybody is enjoying themselves. Great weather."

The Festival on Main ran today from 10 to 5.
