Nothing beats your soldier coming home from over seas.
Especially when it's been a year, and you don't know that he's coming home.
A normal Friday at work became a holiday for Michelle Ware, when her son Ben gave her the greatest surprise: coming home.
They say a picture paints a thousand words.
But no amount of pictures and kind words from over seas compares to a hug from Uncle Bubba.
(Kayden Dequeant, Niece) "Uncle Bubba... Pappy!!"
Ben Ware enlisted in the US Army after graduation from Minot High School in 2010.
He's been over seas for a full year, relying heavily on Facebook to stay in touch with home.
And with help from his sister Bethany, his reunion with mom, Michelle Ware was kept a secret.
On Friday, Ben ducked behind suits at JCPenney where Michelle works.
Expecting to help fit a suit, Michelle rounded the corner to fit into the arms of her son, sporting a suit of his own.
(Bethany Dequeant, Sister) "It was hard to keep a secret!"
(Michelle Ware, Mom) "I thought you were coming home in October!"
(Bethany Dequeant, Sister) "The past week has been a nightmare. I've almost spilled the beans 20 times."
And with more than a year to catch up on, you can be sure the hugs and pictures have only started.
In Minot, Jennifer Thorgramson, KX News.
All the staff at JCPenney were also on board with the secret, covering all Michelle's shifts for the week that Ben is home.
