Bakken oil is sweeping not only western North Dakota, but the economic impact stretches beyond the Williston boarders, catching the nation's attention.
National media toured "Boom Town" in November 2011, the following day, WillistonND.com received 65,000 individual hits.
The Williston Chamber of Commerce fielded 340 phone calls and Mercy Medical Center in Williston received more than 300 employee applications, in a single day.

The attention continues from a wide range of investors and developers.
DAWA Solutions Group saw it as an opportunity to educate those interested --- with Bakken Field Tours.
Today, the fifth group of about 20, embarked on a bus tour of the Williston Basin.
The group ranged from east coast developers to international investors and local farmers.

(Jeff Zarling, DAWA Solution Group) "A large portion of what we do is try to educate people. We tell people who want to do business here, if you really want to do business here and be successful, you really need to get out here."

Bakken Tours includes a classroom portion the night before the bus tour which outlines the physical process of retrieving oil from land leases to exports.
Group reactions vary but the numbers are certainly the eye catchers.

(Jeff Zarling, DAWA Solution Group) "What we're really hearing is, first of all, like we say, you can read all about it but until you get out here and see it and experience it, you can't quite comprehend the sheer volume and velocity of activity."
