Business Beat - August 30

Posted: Updated:

Much of the hotel building boom has been found on Minot's southern side...but not all hotels that are currently in construction phase are found here. Take the new EconoLodge that is set to open this fall. Found right off of highway 83 north of the airport, the new three story facility stands alone for new hotels north of the airport.

This area that EconoLodge is moving to has quickly become a hot spot for energy and building business...and Hight Construction is one of the businesses that is close to calling it home. Actually, they have moved here...just not into the new building quite yet. It has been a year of moves for Hight...from East Burdick Expressway to across from the Zoo...and now to their permanent location here on North Hill.

In Rugby, on the western edge of town you'll find what owners call 'A unique shopping experience'. The Brown Latern is full of items to beautify your home...or you as well! From jewelry to handbags to candles and odds and ends for the home...this might be worth a stop -- the Brown Latern in Rugby. With Business Beat -- I'm Perry Olson.
