Minot Guaranty and Escrow Company is planning to make a move soon. Currently located on South Broadway, the business has easily outgrown the five thousand square feet of space they currently call home. So what is the plan? Build new...and build right here. On 16th just north of CVS Pharmacy, at this lot, you'll soon see construction of a new building that is planned to be about 85-hundred square feet. Paula Bachmeier with Minot Guaranty says plans are in the works now...and should hopefully start this fall so that a spring open is a possibility.
(Paula Bachmeier - Minot Guaranty and Escrow Co.) "The real estate market is booming in Minot, as everyone knows, and with that it means we need an increase in staff. We have outgrown our place here and the parking here so it was time for a move to expand and provide better services for our community."
With the added space, more staff can be added. The plan is to go from the current 27 employees...to 35 or maybe 40 when the move happens.
A rebranding has taken place of the old Holiday gas station at MarketPlace Foods. Shell -- the first ever in North Dakota -- has taken root. Farstad Oil is servicing the new brand...and will do the same at a second Shell location that will be coming in on North Hill as a part of the new MarketPlace Foods complex that is currently under construction.
Finally -- in Williston, Buffalo Wild Wings officially broke ground this week. The new restaurant should be ready for its first customers around the 1st of February next year.
