Car Honors Wounded Warriors

Posted: Updated:

A muscle car with a patriotic message is making it's way across America to thank military families and their supporters who have give so much to our country.

Today the High Five Wounded Warrior Family Support Tour made it's stop in Minot with it's 2012 Shelby Mustang GT-500.

The "Super Snake" Muscle car is clad in "American Red, White and Blue" and decal'd with hand written messages from Military Family's and supporters.

The groups mission is to raise money to provide support to families of those who have been wounded, injured or killed during combat operations.

This tour with the Shelby Corba GT is to help one specific Marine cope and recover.

(John Folsom, Col. USMCR (Retired) "We anticipate raising $100,000. Every penny of that money raised west of the Missouri, is going to be invested in building a smart home for a Marine who is, has been the mostly severely wounded service man to survive. So all the money raised is going to be devoted to that young man and his family to build a new home for him."

The Shelby Corba GT is on display right now at the Westlie Truck Center in Minot and will be there until 7pm.

If you'd like to donate you can go online to highfivetour.com where you can find out more information on the mission and the tour of the Wounded Warrior Family Support.
