Bottineau Winter Park received a lot of extra attention this week.
The 'New York Says Thank You' Foundation donated time, labor and materials to build
"Annie's House," an all-abilities chalet that will replace the existing facility.
The two-miles of trails that weave through B-W-P also had a face lift.
A team cleared and widened the trail so that it can be used year-round for biking, cross country skiing and birdwatching.
The entrance to the lake was paved and an ADA-handicap accessible dock was built for fishing at the main trail entrance.
Four trail heads were also placed at scenic sitting areas and along each trail, markers were placed remembering Ann Nicole Nelson.
(Steve VanRiper, Conservation Project Coordinator) "Along the trail we're going to have Annie's bucket list of 37 items. We're going to have signs and each on is going to be described through out the trail."
Ann Nelson is a Stanley native who died in New York on September 11, 2001.
