Man Arrested for Robbery at Red Carpet

Bismarck, ND -

A 21 year old Bismarck man is charged for robbing a gas station early this morning...

It happened at the Red Carpet on south Washington in Bismarck around 1:50 a.m.

According to an employee, Kane Whiteman walked into the station wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt, with the hood pulled over his head and tied tight and a blue bandana over his mouth.

The employee told officers he thought Whiteman had a weapon because Whiteman had his hand in his sweatshirt pocket.

Whiteman demanded cash and cigarettes.

Officers found and arrested Whiteman two hours later walking north on Washington near Front Avenue.

Officers say Whiteman was wearing the same sweatshirt as described in the robbery.
