While Excel cleaners has seen a negative result from the oil boom--one developer says that small businesses are actually benefiting.

Gaylon Baker--Executive Vice President of Stark Development says that many new businesses that continue to come to the city,are expanding, and thriving.
He says that this type of energy growth is a positive for the city and the businesses that settle in Dickinson.

(Gaylon Baker/ Exec. VP Stark Development ) "For the most part they are in very good times most of them are seeing a lot more customers a lot more economic activity growth of course has its challenges. But growth is generally a good thing in any business."

Baker says that the city has seen around 50 new businesses in the last year.
