One dog has made all the difference in Ken Stenzel's life.
Stenzel has MS. He says he was spending $3000 dollars per month on medication before he learned about Can Do Canines.
Now after four years with his smooth-haired Collie, "Calvin," Ken says his life has changed dramatically. He can even pick up a quarter off the ground.
"Dogs had that much of a calming effect, he saves me that much energy in a day, I don't have to bend over and pick things up when I drop them, I don't have to really open doors anymore, Calvin opens doors for me, elevator buttons for me, he's just a general all around good helper," says Ken Stenzel.
Dvorak Motors is helping to raise money for assistance dogs like Calvin.
Sherry White works in sales.
She learned about the program as an inmate at a Minnesota prison.
"When I was allowed to have a dog and taught how to train in and then found out the impact they have on peoples lives like ken's it becomes a way to redeem yourself and it gives you hope that your life can become something better," says Sherry White of Dvorak Motors.
Dvorak is donating 25 dollars for each car sale to purchase dogs for Can Do Canines. The sale runs through Monday.
