The girl scouts of North Dakota are celebrating 100 years of service in 2012.
the organization has a new office building on Airport Road in Bismarck.
The girl scouts opened the building for the first time under the new ownership Tuesday September eleventh.
Inside, they have plenty of Girl Scout items for purchase.
Heading over to Mandan, Sweet Beginnings Bakery will be opening at 411 west Main Street in the Beanery.
Tami Helmers, the owner, says she plans to sell cupcakes and custom made cakes.
The beanery is currently under renovation--but the bakery is 300 square feet--and Tami wants to have tables in the main lobby for people to sit and enjoy their treat.
Helmers sells baked goods out of her home right now.
The other shop in the location of the bakery will move to the other side of the building.
The Sweet Beginnings Bakery should be open October first.
And Crossroads Counseling will be located right across the street on West Third in Mandan.
The business will offer addiction evaluations, counseling, and Prime for Life 16 hour DUI/Drug Prevention Education Seminars to individuals, schools, or businesses.
Julie Creed is a licensed addiction counselor who got her degree through the University of Mary.
She says she is excited to offer her services to the community during National Recovery Month.
