Business, and a need for new space around this city.. is booming.
The effects of the oil industry are evident in and around Dickinson as the city continues to build space for new businesses.
New industrial parks are being built at a rapid rate in Dickinson. There is a five lot park just north of town on highway 22-- a major highway that runs through oil country. Gaylon Baker-- with Stark Development says that energy businesses are snatching up the available units to have access to the major highway. But he says that construction is not just happening in one area of the city. (Gaylon Baker/Stark Development) "It is a very major area of development we're also seeing develop out to the west of town some to the east of town so it's throughout some right in the city of Dickinson so we know it's widespread."
Baker says they are seeing more and more demand for industrial parks.
