This weekend is the last weekend to see some long time visitors at the zoo.
Last summer Bismarck's Dakota Zoo welcomed these apes who needed a home when Minot's zoo was under water during the Mouse River flood.
Zoo Director Terry Lincoln says the apes will be missed.
He says a lot of visitors have enjoyed the friendly animals.
<<"They're actually moving back to Minot next week, they've been working hard getting their zoo put back together they had nine feet of water for weeks and weeks and it's taking a long time to get their holding areas and things like that," Terry Lincoln said.>>
But next summer the Dakota Zoo will be getting some apes of its own, a new primate center will be built by next year for the apes.
After this weekend the zoo will be starting winter hours, open on Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 1-5:30pm, weather permitting.
