It's another sign of the growth in western North Dakota.
Ground is broken on a new medical facility in Dickinson.
Saint Joseph's will be building a new hospital and medical office building in the community.
The hospital will have 25 private acute care rooms, a nursery, emergency department and much more.
"Right now we're doing 21st century medicine in a 20th century facility, our facility is 100 years old, so really everything will be new, it's exciting and the efficiencies and added service lines and everything we'll be able to do, we're very excited," CEO Reed Reyman said.
The public is urged to give their input, about what they'd like to see in the new hospital.
"We'll be doing a community needs assessment coming up, and we really need their input and we really need the community to realize it's our hospital, it's our community and we need to work together to be successful," Reyman said.
The new building is expected to be complete by the fall of 2013.
