Oshkeshequoam's Death Ruled a Homicide

The state medical examiner rules a 30-year-old Bismarck mans death a homicide.

Mandan Deputy Chief Paul Leingang says Derek Oshkeshequoam died from being hit in the head with a fist.

Authorities say 30-year-old Derek Oshkeshequoam was assaulted in the early morning hours of October 27th at a house party in northeast Mandan.

Two men brought him to a hospital the next day in a wheelchair and left without being identified.

Police have interviewed a 23-year-old Bismarck man who struck Oshkeshequoam during the assault.

Police have also located the men who brought him to the hospital as well as several other witnesses from the house party.

So far no arrests have been made.
