Young Republican Leads Successful Campaign

Posted:
Bismarck, ND -

As far as he knows - he is the youngest political campaign manager.

21 year old Matt Becker ran Kevin Cramer's campaign for the US House.

Becker started serving as the deputy executive director for the North Dakota Republican Party.

His work for the party caught Cramer's eye.

Becker says twelve to sixteen hour days were not unheard of during the race.

"There is a lot of young people in politics. I will say that, but I have yet to meet someone as young as me running a campaign. Who knows though - there may be someone out there. It is hard to say. What I will say is that this business does allow for a young person to step in and get involved. Work hard and work their way up," says Becker.

Becker hasn't decided on his future plans.

He may have the opportunity to join Cramer in Washington, D.C.
