Weekend Winter Weather

Posted: Updated:

National Weather Service officials say Crosby received 18 inches of snow this morning, and Williston is under close to a foot of snow.
Around five inches of snow fell here in the Minot area - and we're not through yet.
The winter storm warning will stay in effect until 6:00 on Sunday night.
The North Dakota Department of Transportation lifted the No Travel Advisory this morning and replaced it with a Travel Alert for much of the state.
The Bismarck and Devils Lake areas are still under a No Travel Advisory.
A break in the storm allowed people to clear sidewalks by either shovel or machine.
The cold weather and newly fallen snow didn't stop people that are used to this kind of weather from venturing out.
Even the kids braved the chilly air for a bit of playtime in the snow.

What kind of things do you like to make in the snow?
(Minot Resident) "Snow man, snow angles, and a lot of other stuff."
(Minot Resident) "Snow angles."
Is this what you were expecting?
(Minot Resident) "No, actually I was expecting more than what we got."
(Minot Resident) "It seems a little lighter than what they were forecasting."
(Minot Resident) "I thought it was going to be more."
(Minot Resident) "It is what it is. I'm comfortable with what it is and if it is more I guess I'll be comfortable too."
