Grant Helps Energy Programs

Posted:

The Training For Regional Energy in North Dakota, also known as TREND, shares their plans on what they will do with a $14.6 million grant from the U.S. Department of Labor.

Today the five North Dakota State and tribal colleges meet, to share how they will expand their energy programs, create new programs and better their career navigation services.

"We're going to focus on our online energy programs, plus enhancing our on campus through additional lab equipment, but the goal is to bring in more students and to train and educate them quicker and to provide the needed skills to support the workforce needs," Kari Knudson with Bismarck State College said.

The five colleges include Bismarck State College, Fort Berthold Community College, Sitting Bull College, Turtle Mountain Community College and Williston State College.
