Flowers for Food

Posted: Updated:

Two plus Ten equals Twelve.

It's simple math.. but it adds up to something more than just a number.

This week is Caring Rose Week and the community of Minot has the chance to give to those who are less fortunate.

Donate two cans of food this week and you'll get a dozen roses, any color of your choice, for only ten dollars.

There are three locations in Minot you can drop your food off and pick our roses up including Artistic Ambiance located across from Medical Arts on Burdick, Trinity gift shop, and Artistic Floors and Lights located on south Broadway.

Artistic Ambiance will be dropping off roses for the Velva community as well.

(Tammy Holen, Owner, Artistic Ambiance, Minot) "You can never buy roses for ten bucks. It is a great time of the year, right before Thanksgiving and the food pantries need it. They feed a lot of people in Minot and Velva and the surrounding communities."

Food for flowers will run through Friday at the Artistic Ambiance lo action and Saturday for the other thow locations.

The food collected will be going to the Minot Homeless Coalition.
