Curbside recycling might soon be an option for those who live in Bismarck.
At tonight's Bismarck City Commission meeting, Karen Erickstad with the Missouri Valley Resources Council, submitted a petition with more than 620 signatures.
The signatures were gathered this summer at events such as Capital A'Fair and Urban Harvest.
"The petition consisted of people who were in support of curbside recycling, so we're hoping that by showing the city commission in the mayor that we have over 620 signatures in favor of that, that hopefully they will see that as a reason to consider even stronger than they may have otherwise," Karen Erickstad said.
A public hearing is anticipated at the next city commission meeting on November 27th, to discuss curbside recycling.
