Flasher Headed to State

    The Flasher volleyball team is back in the state tournament.
    It'll be their first trip since 2009.

    The Bulldogs were on a hot streak at the Region tournament, playing their most consistent volleyball of the year.
    Head Coach Jerlyn Gabrielson says they knew at the beginning of the year they had a good chance to make it here, but it's taken a lot of hard work.
    With only the top 8 teams making it to the state tournament, the Bulldogs don't have expectations beyond winning their opening round game.
    In a small town like Flasher, the excitement surrounding their trip to state is high.    

    Flasher will face Kindred in the first round at state.
    They know the Vikings have a powerful offense, so blocking will be key.
    Coach Gabrielson says her team doesn't have experience at this level, but she's talked about the importance of playing the way they practice.

    Linton HMB will take on Dickinson Trinity on Thursday at noon.
    Kindred and Flasher play at 2 pm in the quarterfinals
    Park River Fordville Lankin plays Ray at 6, and Langdon plays Our Redeemers at 8 at the Minot State Dome.
